Camperagent RV Sales

Case Study  |  Commercial Solar & Battery Project
OVERVIEW

As an accredited RV dealership with the national caravan industry association (CIA), Camperagent needed to demonstrate increased sustainability practices.

With power bills sky-rocketing, and a lack of control over power use, a renewables commercial battery system was the perfect solution.

The Challenge

Camperagent was established over 20 years ago on the north of Adelaide, and the Munro family have been actively buying used caravans and motorhomes for sale from all corners of the country

The family business was experiencing steadily increasing power utility bills and they knew it would keep going up. On top of that, the owners of Camperagent felt they had no control.

They were in the process of preparing for RV dealership accreditation and part of that was the requirement for a business plan showing their sustainability plan for the future.

Changing over to a properly designed battery storage & solar system for the Camperagent site provide them a long term financial investment. It would also give them the benefit of using renewable power which is the foundation of their sustainability plan towards net zero.

The Solution

Now our power system has been optimised and tested, we have drastically reduced our dependence on the power grid and can provide the majority of our energy requirements from the sun. Having the battery storage system allows our sites to make the best use of our solar generated power.

Our suppliers, staff & customers all recognise our commitment to using renewable power and applaud this effort towards managing our energy and carbon footprint.

The additional power optimization unit that we are testing is also expected to increase the life of our electrical equipment and provide greater efficiency.

What does it mean for Camperagent?
Firstly, committing to a renewable energy system is saving us money. This feels great during these challenging times.

We also enjoy being part of the growing community of forward thinking businesses that are taking energy management seriously.

Its more than just reducing carbon by pulling back from the coal fired grid power. It's the idea of creating a legacy of change that our children and their children will benefit from. And we are doing it now.

Promoting the fact that we are an environmentally friendly business is a positive marketing message to our customers and that makes us feel good - as we are making a difference.
