Camperagent RV Service

Case Study  |  Commercial Solar & Battery Project
OVERVIEW

Camperagent RV Service had an existing solar panel installation. While the system generating some savings, it did not give them full energy independence.

With the installation of this new commercial battery system, Camperagent recieved full blackout protection — due to the hybrid system's ability to operate independently to the grid.

The Challenge

Camperagent RV Service had an existing solar panel installation. While the system generating some savings, it did not give them energy independence.

They recognised the importance of being able to run the Camperagent RV service department off-grid should there be a power blackout (which has happened more lately).

The idea of a hybrid system that would allow them to operate independent of the grid when required, but still connect to allow import/export was an attractive solution.

The Solution

Powertech Energy added more solar panels to boost Camperagent RV Service power generation capability.

We also repurposed an off grid container and installed a battery solution to store excess power generation.

This enables Camperargent RV Service to run their daily operations off grid, providing energy independence and security.

By also staying connected to the energy grid, Camperagent RV are able to import energy when required, and export when it gives the most advantage.

The software that run it all was designed and engineered from the ground up. It enables the solar, batter & grid to work together and Camperagent RV Service to gain the most benefit from the solar and battery and grid connectivity.

The Outcome

Now the power system has been optimised and tested, Camperagent RV Service have drastically reduced their dependence on the power grid and can provide the majority of their energy requirements from the sun.

Having the battery storage system allows the sites to make the best use of the solar generated power.

The additional power optimization unit that we are testing is also expected to increase the life of our electrical equipment and provide greater efficiency.
